EclipseCon 2009 Program Announced
The technical program for EclipseCon 2009 has been selected and is now available on the
conference web site. The number and quality of submissions
received continues to increase each year, so the job of the program committee is always very difficult. Thanks to all
who sent in proposals.
Talks at EclipseCon 2009 include 80 long talk sessions and over 90 short talk sessions, organized within 18 tracks.
The different tracks reflect the diversity of the Eclipse community and include:
EclipseCon 2009 will be held March 23-26 at the Santa Clara Convention Center. People that
register before December 31, 2008 will qualify

Nominations Open for the Eclipse Community Awards 2009
The Eclipse Community Awards are an annual event designed to show appreciation to individuals and technologies that make
Eclipse a stronger community. There are two categories of awards - individual and technology. The Eclipse Foundation is now accepting
nominations for the awards, so show your appreciation and nominate a person or product that has made a difference.
In the individual category, anyone may make a nomination for the Top Ambassador, Top Committer and Top Contributor awards. There is
also a Most Prolific Newcomer Evangelist award, which is presented to the individual that answers the most questions posted on the
eclipse.newcomer newsgroup.
In the technology category, anyone may make a nomination for the Best Commercial Eclipse-Based Developer Tool,
Best Open Source Eclipse-Based Developer Tool, Best Commercial Equinox Application, Best Open
Source Equinox Application, Best Commercial RCP Application and Best Open Source RCP Application awards.
Companies and projects are welcome to nominate their own products.

Awards will be accepted until January 30, 2009 and the winners will be announced March 23, 2009 at
EclipseCon.

EclipseCon 2009 Open for Registration
Registration for EclipseCon
2009 is now open. EclipseCon will be held March 23-26 in Santa Clara, CA. The "Very Early"
registration price is availabe until December 31 and gives a 40% discount off the onsite price.
A single fee provides access to the entire conference.
